In the foam sector sustainability largely reduces to three things: how much waste you generate, how much energy you consume, and how many years the material you make survives. All three are measurable.
Offcuts from cutting do not go to landfill. Foam waste is shredded and pressed into a material that goes back into use; in the sector that is rebonded foam. This is also one reason we favour roll peeling: not generating the waste in the first place beats recovering it.
Environmentally, vacuum compression is a logistics item. When nearly twice as much product fits in the same container, fewer vehicles set off for the same order. This is the most concrete gain on the carbon side.
A seat foam that collapses in three years consumes three times the raw material of one that lasts ten. Choosing the right density looks like a cost decision; it is also an environmental one. That is why we do not recommend a lower density than the job needs.

In this sector the cleanest cubic metre is the one never produced. Recovering offcut is good; not creating it in the first place is better.
